Last week, after Sarah moved in, we did a little yardwork. No one lived in our house over the summer, so the hedges were overgrown and the bushes needed trimming as well. We also noticed Christmas lights hanging in our tree in the front yard. When I climbed the tree to investigate, I noticed that the wires were all split so the lights were useless. I then spent at least thirty minutes trying to untangle them and resorted to using hedge trimmers to chop 'em apart. It was great, too, because one of our neighbors came over to introduce herself while I was up in the tree... what a first impression. "I promise I'm grown up enough to take care of my own house!"
These are all the lights I untangled and cut out of the tree

Then a couple of nights ago, Sarah and I cooked dinner for our group of guy friends because they were moving back and unpacking after driving from Shreveport. We made lasagna and it turned out SO WELL - and leftovers are always a plus!
