This morning, I talked to an advisor and officially changed my major from Kinesiology - Exercise Science to English - Creative Writing! And I am extremely excited about it.
I have been wanting to be an English major for the longest time, but I never was because I didn't want to teach and that's the main thing you can do with that major. I think I didn't want to teach, though, because it was what everyone told me that I should do, and I hate doing what people tell me to. This semester I have been looking at the next few years academically, and I would be taking at least one science a semester, some semesters with two (like this semester). I don't like science that much. I actually don't really like it at all. So why would I put myself through that? If I was extremely passionate about becoming a physical therapist, it would be worth it, but I really wasn't. So I decided to switch to a major that I would actually enjoy. (Imagine that concept!)
So next semester, I get to take FUN classes like Cultural Anthropology, Modern Lit, Creative Writing I, Art History, and dun dun duuuuuuun Ancient Greek for my foreign language!
So even though things are rough right now and I still have no idea what I am doing for a roommate, things are settled with my major and I am thrilled.
Now to study for an anatomy test tomorrow... hard, considering I no longer need this class except to have enough hours to keep my scholarship. Drats.
