main mode of transportation this summer.
It was an especially wonderful hike because it was SUNNY and warm, at least by Juneau standards. It's strange that I now find 70 degrees warm - going back to Arkansas heat and humidity will be a shock, I am sure.
Throughout the hike, we found ourselves getting a larger and larger view of the Mendenhall Glacier from above, and as we all stared at it, our only words were "Wow" and "Oh my gosh"; it is spectacular! I mean, just click on this next picture and zoom in.
We leave Alaska this Saturday, but the trip isn't over yet. I have a couple of locals I plan to spend time with this week, so you can pray for fruitful conversations and the opportunity to encourage these girls in their walks with the Lord. You can also be praying for road trip details, as that subject is getting a little tense with tons of ideas bouncing around. I would honestly love to fly back - once Project is over, I just want to be home - but I am committed to a car so flying is not an option, and I know it will be a fun last few days with people.
