Today is a big day! It is the day that I am all packed up and leave for Fayetteville, because tomorrow morning we are departing from Fayetteville to head to ALASKA! It's hard to believe that it is already here, but at the same time I feel like I have been waiting forever!
Thank you so much for your prayers concerning this trip. One of the biggest praises is that I am at 100% in support raising! I am so thankful for the Lord's provision in this, and so thankful for the partnership I have experienced with those who are supporting me.
As I anticipate the next 11 weeks or so, I am really excited about what the Lord is going to do in and through me. I am praying that I continually have opportunities to share the Gospel with my co-workers and that I learn to be more bold in my faith. I am also praying that I come away from this summer more fully equipped to serve the Lord back on campus in Fayetteville, that I may be more effective for the Kingdom this next year. And finally I am praying that God molds and shapes me this summer, transforming my heart and changing me into who He wants me to be. I don't want to come away the same, and I am excited to be further developed by Him.
Specifically right now, you can pray for safety as we travel. We will be traveling to Columbus, Nebraska on Tuesday, meeting up with another car, then continuing to drive through Wyoming, Montana, British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon Territory, and finally Alaska (catching a ferry at Haines to get to Juneau on the 25th). Please pray for weather conditions, as there has been snow recently up in Canada, as well as functioning cars and alert drivers.
I will continue to update this blog throughout the summer and post pictures - I can't wait to tell you what all God is doing!
P.S. I also got the chance to write one more guest blog for Becke'
