Crap Dangit.

This week has been incredible. I have had awesome conversations with girls and had like four new girls want to join my Bible study! And one of them has only recently started going to church and is going to buy a Bible this weekend! I am not sure if she has accepted Christ yet, so next week I think we are going to meet again and I am going to bring it up!

The weather has been fantastic, too - a little rainy, but not hot so that's wonderful.

All in all, a great week... until about 30 minutes ago. I was driving home with my bike on the bike rack attached to the trunk of my car. I pulled into my neighborhood up a slight incline and the bike rack came off! Actually, all except one of the straps/hooks holding it to my trunk came off. So it was dangling by one strap. I was able to immediately stop the car and take it off and carry it to my house, but not before it scratched up my car and broke the corner of my tail light. It's an old, cheap bike rack, so I definitely needed a new one anyway, but I am supposed to bring my bike home this weekend to ride with my family and I am DEFINITELY not putting it on that stupid rack again.

Then, if that wasn't bad enough, I was texting my dad to tell him about it and my #2 button broke off my Motorola Slvr. I don't have money for a new phone, and I feel bad asking my parents for one. Granted, I have had this phone for almost three years (it's from high school), and the button covers are all cracked and coming off so I had to push hard and at the right angle anyway, but I was making it work. Not anymore...

Praise the Lord for a three day weekend this weekend. Actually, four day for me, because I don't have class on Tuesdays. I will be in Conway till Sunday (so I will finally get to be at church! Haven't been back to FBC since May!), and spending time with my family will be really good. My mom has been feeling the empty nest syndrome lately... despite the fact that my little brother is only a junior in high school and still lives at home. He is pretty self-sufficient, though, and spends most of his time in his room. My sister goes to college in Conway, but Mom thought she would hate the dorms and move back home. SURPRISE she is enjoying it. So I am excited to get some good family time in.

And I am hoping to write thing other than the "stories of my life" soon. The first few weeks are so busy though!

Days like that drive me batty! It's like every random little thing that goes wrong goes wrong :) I'm glad you have a break coming up. Hope your time with your family is completely wonderful. (And I'm glad you can relate on the Regency bit. It looks beautiful and romantic from afar. But this century is definitely where I belong too :)
