artsy-craftsy

Well, since I had NO PLANS for my spring break, I decided that I wanted to start a quilt. I found some really fun fabric at Hobby Lobby last week and am starting to piece things together. I am hoping to have half of the blanket pieced together by the end of spring break, then I can do the other half in May and maybe start (attempting) to quilt it before I head to camp in June.

I am not the sort of person who can work on the same thing for an extended period of time, though... so tonight I made another Hobby Lobby run to see what might spark my interest. I bought a blank canvas and some paints. I started it tonight, as well, and in the end it will be a fun border with Zephaniah 3:17 on it in the middle - "Your God is present among you, a strong Warrior there to save you. Happy to have you back, He'll calm you with His love and delight you with His songs."

No fun in-progress pictures, though. Sadly, my camera battery died while I was at Wye Mountain today. I think I got some good shots there, but it is hard to know because I left my battery charger in Fayetteville, so I can't look at my pictures until next Sunday. Or take pictures over the rest of break. Dadgummit.
