And there is something nice about spending the evening alone. My roommate was out with her boyfriend, and I was originally going crazy trying to figure out who I could go hang out with because I didn't want to be by myself, but it turned out well just being alone. I rarely want to do that - I am way more extroverted than I am introverted - but it was nice to pop in a disc of Gilmore Girls and just lay in bed. I never watched the show until my roommate started watching it over Christmas break; she is watching them in order and got me hooked!
When she got back, though, we had some girl talk, and it was great. I am so thankful for her; we weren't really friends last year, just acquaintances through Cru, but God totally provided for us to live together. We have bonded this year, and although we are very different we are also very much alike. She had never dated before, so I get to hear her experiences and such to help ease my nerves about dating (despite how far away that season of my life most likely is).
I finished memorizing Psalm 63 a couple of weeks ago, and I have moved on to Psalm 139. It is so encouraging to know how much God cares about us: He knows everything about us, He specifically formed us, and He has an interest in our lives. I really do pray that He will search my heart and keep me in check so that I may be even more in tune to Him.
