My day started off bright and early - er, should I say dark and early?
Two guy friends and I decided we wanted to watch the sun rise from Yellow Rock, which is an overlook at Devil's Den. We left campus at 5:45, drove to the trail, hiked the twenty minute path to the top, and got there in time to see rays of light begin to brighten the sky. We sat up there for 30 minutes, silent for the majority of the time, just watching the sky change colors. It was so neat to hear everything wake up, as well - the birds began to chirp, the squirrels were barking at each other, and we even saw a chipmunk when we hiked down (as well as a deer when we were driving). It was the perfect start to my day.
I wouldn't mind making a habit of it.
