My major should be called "Book Worm"

You know how, after you read a book multiple times, the pages start to become an off-white color? The texture changes, and the spine has wrinkles from where the book has been held open too long. You can flip through the pages and a lovely, worn-in book smell wafts towards you.

That's the joy that I am experiencing right now with Jane Eyre.
I love that I get to read one of my favorite books for a class - it makes it so much easier to stay on top of the reading assignments.

The book I just finished for that class (Women and the Novel) was Evelina by Frances Burney. Burney is rumored to be one of Jane Austen's idols and part of her inspiration for writing. I can buy that, because Evelina was wonderful.

I would love to hear anyone else's favorite books... Not that I have free time to read for fun right now (I am in the middle of my sixth and seventh books of the semester... in two of my literature classes each book lasts about four class days then we move on.), but I like to keep a running list of books I intend to read.

I think we were meant to be sisters or something! I LOVE to read...I love "To Kill a Mockingbird," anything by Ted Dekker, yadayada. My sister in law swears the Brothers Karamazov (sp) is the BEST, but I have yet to tackle it. You have a sweet heart, Sam.
