back in action

Break = wonderful.
Being at home was pretty low-key. Honestly, it didn't feel like home. I mean, it did with my family and my wonderful dog, but my room is no longer MY room. It is double duty as a storage closet/place to keep Bill's drums with my mattress leaned against the wall till they try to clear it out when I come home. But I guess as I move on in life, that won't be my home much longer. And I don't have many friends left from high school - all my friends are up here in Fayetteville, so I don't have as many people to hang out with in Conway. But it was good to see a few people.

Thanksgiving was good; low-key as well, but it was good to see my grandparents. And I always love the food. We were talking about having left-overs, and my brother said, "We don't normally have left-overs for very long because Sam eats them all!" What can I say? I love me some sweet potatoes and Sister Schubert's rolls and turkey and gravy and mashed potatoes and...

This weekend we had a retreat at camp called Turkey Day, it is just for the high school students. It was a great time to connect with them, hear how their year is going, and pray for them. Doing ministry brings me such JOY and it refreshes me.

Back at school... it's great to see people but I only have a week and a half till finals and I know that my Greek final is going to be so hard! My motivation for studying and getting through it, though, is that me and my friend Katie (who is also in the class) are going to constantly study together then right after the test go to her parents' house in Fayetteville, watch the 5 hour BBC Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth), indulge in junk food, and wallow in self-pity about relationships, ending in encouraging each other in relationships :) It will be fantastic.

I just gotta get through four more classes... that's two more homeworks (since I already finished tomorrow's)... OH MY GOSH!
