Happy October!

It's here!

Soon, I expect that the trees will be splashed with crimson, gold, and burnt orange. There will be a crunching sound as you walk across campus, and the cool air in the mornings will wake me up as I walk up the hill to class. Today, as I was sitting outside Starbucks on campus, a crisp brown leaf fell onto the table next to my book.

With October comes desires for cinnamon, pumpkin, and apples. Yesterday at Brough, they had apples everywhere. Including apple slices sauteed in butter, cinnamon, and honey and served with vanilla ice cream. For once, I knew that Brough had done something right (well, besides those Otis Spunkemeyer chocolate chip cookies). That cinnamon smelled like fall. And I ate a Kashi granola bar during anthropology class, flavored "Pumpkin Spice Flax." It tasted like fall.

So we've got all five senses feeling autumn already! Isn't that interesting, how it can feel/taste/smell/look/sound like autumn?

Some of my friends told me that it sounds like I have a love affair with fall. Maybe I do. A love affair that really leads to my love for my Creator who is blessing me with the gloriousness of the season.
