Splendidness!

There is a taste of fall in the air today. A slight breeze has been rustling the leaves, and it gently blows my hair across my face as I sit here outside of Starbucks. With an hour and a half break between classes, I decided to practice good time management and get some Greek homework out of the way. I have been constantly distracted, though, by a combination of people-watching and a desire to simply write.

I love autumn. There is a sort of daydreamy feel to it that makes my walk around campus more pleasant. This season represents so much for me. I am eager for the trees to slowly morph into shades of gold, orange, and red (even though green is my favorite color). Fall entices me to sit outside with a good book and munch on an apple - I actually feel like a character from a book, which makes me happy. Cru has a fall retreat. (Two words: barn dance!) Also, my birthday is in the fall, and I will be twenty. That brings a whole 'nother set of emotions, though. Fall is perfect for camping and going hiking, both of which I hope to do in the upcoming weeks.

I am quite content today.
