it's "God alone."
not "God plus..."
yet my fingers are still tightly grasped around what i want.
why can't i let go?
i know i should, but honestly i don't even want to most of the time.
i need a change of heart.

Many of the things you write remind me so much of my college days! It was a precious time when God was really working on my heart, changing my perspective on so many things, and teaching me that He is everything. I think coming out of high school, I had the idea that God is supposed to be FIRST my life, at the top of the priority list. In college (it was fall term sophomore year, in fact), I realized that's wrong. God is supposed to be my WHOLE life. It seems so obvious, but for me it was a totally new way of thinking.
I loved that time in my life and will always remember it. I pray yours will be just as sweet and awesome!
