Have you ever thought about how many traditions or clichés we have that involve wishing? We wish on shooting stars or the "first star I see tonight." When the clasp of your necklace is turned around touching the charm, people say to kiss it, make a wish, and turn it back around. We blow dandelion puffs and birthday candles to make a wish, as well as whenever the time is showing all of the same numbers (11:11, for example). Whenever an eyelash is on your cheek you are supposed to put it on your fingertip and blow it off, and we toss spare coins into fountains.
I was going to expand on that, but I am not sure where to go with it. So now it’s just food for thought.
