It's the weekend - I can finally relax, recollect my thoughts, reorganize my life... AND CHEER ON THE RAZORBACKS! (I tried to think of something that started with "re" but it didn't happen.) It's our first Fayetteville home game and we are playing Georgia (the state, not my friend) and will hopefully dominate! I got a new hogs t-shirt the other day- it says "I don't have swine flu, I have HOG FEVER!" One of my roommates protested, but I think it's cheesy and funny, which are both positive things. I am so excited to be in the student section calling the hogs and dancing along with the band. It's definitely one of the best things about the fall. That, and my birthday...
Speaking of which, I will be 21 in a month. October 20. What in the world? I know last year I posted about it being weird turning 20, and it definitely was, but 21 is LEGAL. For everything. I will officially be an adult. If taking care of my own house and mowing the lawn didn't do it, this would. My birthday is on a Tuesday, which is M29 (Cru leadership) and Cru, so no going out to dinner on my birthday - but I don't have class on Tuesdays, so that is a plus! Birthdays were never a huge deal in my family, so I never think about having a party or anything even in college. My roommate Kristen is the opposite - she always has a big party and celebrates for like a week. It's not that I don't like attention on me (I would be lying if I said I didn't haha) but I would feel weird inviting people to come celebrate me. So I don't know what I will do for my birthday.
Crickets chirping is one of the most soothing sounds in the world to me. The weather has been so nice lately that I have kept my window open, and the crickets combined with frogs and the breeze rustling the leaves seems to provide my own background music to my life - I absolutely love it! I really wish life had a soundtrack to it, like whenever I am in different situations I would have different songs playing in my head to set it up or make it more exciting or whatever. I would definitely want some Norah Jones in there. And Taylor Swift. And Nickel Creek.
Apparently, "precious" is a word that I frequently use. And the phrase PTL (Praise the Lord). And "crapdangit," which I definitely get made fun of for. I actually tend to get made fun of a lot - for everything from funny things I unintentionally say (any camp friends reading this: MEEEE TOOOO) to being a klutz and a mess to weird things about my personality. It's a good thing that I have learned to laugh at myself.
Okay, so I will close this post with two questions for you:
1. What would you want on the "soundtrack" for your life?
2. What words or phrases do you repeatedly use and/or get made fun of for?

Elf cracks me up! Can you believe I didn't see it until last year? Will Ferrel is funnier to me in skits than he is in movies, but my brother finally talked me into it. So cute. Speaking of my brother, I would LOVE for Arkansas to beat Georgia. My brother is a huge Georgia fan :) I remember 21 feeling surreal. And now I'm 28 ... which means I am really close to 30 ... and surreal doesn't even begin to describe it ... :)
